Mark de Clive-Lowe is broken beat's best kept secret. Whether he's pulling out lush warm Rhodes chords or knocking out machine funk on the MPC, his music fuses jazz, classic hip hop and a myriad of other influences, into a sound that's fresh and cutting edge. He's dropped science on the keys for the likes of Bugz In The Attic, IG Culture, 4Hero and Restless Soul, and that's just for starters. If you're into modern soulful music chances are good you have heard of his label Antipodean and his latest outfit The Politik. New Zealand's original broken beat don digs deep and delivers a superb session recorded live and direct at The Garden Festival in Croatia.
