A classic daydream believer, kid Torreblanca used to compose odes to squirrels, trees and clouds and studied piano at home before joining the Fermatta Music Academy, Mexico City. Nowadays he performs in a 'twee pop' band and explores African and Renaissance harmonies with a vocal ensemble. His sound is an amalgam of heartfelt lyrics, meandering keys and occasional beats, using wide orchestrations, smashed glass samples, a melancholic accordion and husky, alto vocals. Everyone should see the world from Torreblanca's lookout, where it is cast in permanent sunset, flowers are in bloom and time passes by in the eyes of others.
