Max Cole

More Tea, Amsterdam

You just gotta love Max Cole. A London music maker and scribe, he possesses one of the most inventive minds between here and the restaurant at the end of the universe. Supple vocal chords too: check his releases on Wah Wah 45 for a taste of bruk-Brazilian flavoured soul, and those unique 'Curtis Mayfield goes to Shepherd's Bush' vocals, which you may have heard played on Gilles Peterson's BBC Radio 1 show. Max was also behind London club night Other Worlds and the record label of the same name, and besides all of these worthy pursuits, he was also web editor and writer at outernational music bible Straight No Chaser. An RBMA teamster since 2005, Max now resides in Amsterdam, where he spends his days riding bicycles, drinking Belgian beer, and making curious noises in his analogue laboratory.
