"Technology fuels inspiration. Art inspires technological developement." The world according to Robert Henke. The man behind the infamous Monolake project (partners included Gerhard Behles and Torsten Proefrock so far), is a philosophing musician and a musical philosopher. Always researching in sound and looking for new depths in the fields of Techno Dub, Soundscapes and also Dubstep, Henke has always been interested in the methods of creating those things and the technical means. Just listen to his works for Chain Reaction or on the own Imbalance Computer Music imprint and words become needless. On top of that, he has been involved in the development of Ableton Live (run by aforementioned Behles), the most succesful computer music software of recent years. That is where Scott Monteith comes into play. The former Montrealer and newborn Berliner is a purveyor of Dub laden Electronics that can range from Dancehall to House and is an advocate of the laptop as an instrument. Watch him and Mr Monolake taking the turns behind their machine(s)!
