For more than a decade, Karl has made a career of disregarding genres and confounding expectations with his emotive and stylistically diverse selections. His DJ and production work have allowed him to tour extensively, touching down for gigs with Kyoto Jazz Massive, Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova, and Patrick Forge. His internationally acclaimed club night 'Rude' has not only hosted such heavyweights as Carl Craig, Pete Rock, Moodymann, Osunlade, Theo Parrish and Joe Davis, but also produced a pair of highly regarded (and well limited) 12" projects from Shawn J. Period and Taylor McFerrin. Recently, his search for 'the right kind of trouble' brought him to London where he DJed in support of Gilles Peterson, Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics for Karen P's Broad Casting. Recorded live at Cargo, this set was recorded exclusively for RBMA Radio.
