Plaid have been enriching the atmosphere of electronica since the early '90s. This era was characterised by their 808, DX7, 101, striving to imitate the lush orchestration of Detroit techno on cheap computers. Still, they ended up sounding like themselves, taking festival crowds to another place, and giving people a chance to escape the doom and gloom of their Monday morning at work.
