Born in Liverpool, England, 36 years ago, Tony gained an interest in music of black origin through his father's record collection. A caring father, he took his son with him, teached him to dig for records and the brilliance of Stevie Wonder albums. Down the line, hip hop appeared, Lionni looked into his dad's shelves for beats and breaks, went head spinning at Manchester's Hacienda and soul allnighters and started to play out tunes from his vast collection. These days, Tony shares his legacy of UK street soul, hip hop and house on labels like Versatile, Ostgut Ton and Mule Musiq with us.
