The Soul Jazz Sound System is the DJ arm of Soul Jazz Records. Soul Jazz Records started twenty years ago and is now a record company, book publishers, retail store (Sounds Of The Universe) and sound system. The musical output is an indefinable mixture of reggae, punk, Latin, disco, dubstep, Brazilian, jungle and more. Recent artists recording on the label include Digital Mystikz (dubstep), Subway (electro), Tetine (baile funk) and the legendary ESG. The DJ arm of the label has been going nearly as long as the label itself. As well as a steady stream of club nights over the years - 100% Dynamite (currently celebrating its ten year anniversary), 1977, Nu Yorica, Acid and Saturday Night Fish Fry, the Soul Jazz Sound System regularly tours the world with residencies in London, Paris, Edinburgh and recent tours of Australia, Spain, France and more.
