Hailing from London, Hot Chip entered the picture with the release of their 2000 debut 'Mexico'. Dubbed as the UK's "most inventive band," they construct their playful pop from excursions into sun-dapped folk, skewed hip hop, dreamy disco and mad, slow techno. Like an update to their kindred spirits New Order and as unique as them. Albums like 'Coming On Strong' and 'The Warning' portray their mutability quite well, as well as their selections like DJ-Kicks, or their live shows or DJ sets. Different from many of their peers who step behind the turntables just to do so, those guys manage to bridge the gap between the surgical beat of Audion and Joe Jackson's romanticism just terrifically. Hot like chip fat!
