Hailing from London, Hot Chip entered the picture with the release of their 2000 debut, Mexico. Dubbed as the UK's "most inventing band", they construct their playful Pop from excursions into sun-dapped Folk, skewed Hip Hop, dreamy Disco and mad, slow Techno. Like an update to their Kindred spirits New Order and as unique as them. Their albums "Coming On Strong" and "The Warning" portray this inimitability perfectly. As well as the fact that they have a DJ-Kicks on Berlin's K7! out. Different from many of their peer bands who step behind the tunrtables just to do so, those guys manage to bridge the gap between the surgical beat of Audion and Joe Jackson's romanticism just terrifically. Hot like chip fat!
