Emerging in 2001, Aybee aka Armon Bazile has caught the attention of many fans of soulful electronic music, armed with a distinct sound that some say meshes the drum of urban intensity with the ethereal sentiments of a zen temple. Releasing music under a wide range of monikers (Orion 70, Afrobatik, o1o, Bla Kula, Prof Delacroix) Aybee’s versatility extends into Soul, Techno, House and Hip Hop. A product of Oakland, California, Aybee comes from a steep family tradition of soul, rebellion and exploration. Born from "The Struggle" he developed a strong affinity for music’s link to social movement. Experiencing first hand the power of the ability of music to help people transcend the often-unforgiving streets of Oakland. It is that uplifting power of music and dance that ultimately pushed Aybee to embark on the exploration of himself as an artist. In 2001 Aybee launched Deepblak Recordings as a creative outlet for his music. Upon releasing a slew of underground remixes along with original material, Deepblak’s future soul sound began to gather a following along with turning some heads within industry mainstays. Ultimately catching the attention of legendary Producer and DJ Ron Trent, who signed Aybee to his Prescription Records imprint after the relaunch of the label in 2003. Together they also created music as Indigenous Space People. Since then Aybee has gone on to release an impressive string of records, including his much heralded "Revolution Of 1 EP" on his Deepblak imprint. While forging forward in developing Deepblak as a home for avantgarde music, Aybee has also gained momentum as a sought after selecta with some of his mixes approaching cult status. Emerging from a school of highly skilled DJs he always pushes to elevate the dance floor experience while championing good music.
