It’s fair to say that Hatcha’s name is as axe-sharp as his dubplate skills and few DJs have had as much influence on the course of dubstep as Croydon's own. An original FWD>> resident, Hatcha shaped early dubstep by cutting exclusive dubs from Skream, Benga and Digital Mystikz, and also helped name the genre by describing Benny Ill’s dubby 2-step records as "dubstep". Starting out at Big Apple Records, and mixing the first 'Dubstep Allstars' comp on Tempa, he is now building his own '100% Pure Dubstep' compilations, hosting a regular show on London’s Kiss FM, and running the Sin City night and label. The sound of London's bass music scene wouldn't be the same without him!
