The Four Tet helmed Text label surely is a well-chosen home base to kick off a life in music. And indeed, with Kieran Hebden himself producing the first 12" of East London brothers Thomas and Benjamin Page, and an early fan base including Gilles Peterson and Steve Reid, Rocketnumbernine had quite a decent start. September 2011 saw the release of their 'Lone Raver' EP on Stuart Baker's Soul Jazz imprint, continuing their signature blending of analogue drums, percussion and heavy synth action - all of which is best perceived when brothers Page bring their fully improvised shows and visuals to the stage. We caught them live at 2011's Elevate Festival in Graz, Austria.
