Miss Dee's DJ career started in 1997 at Heavy Soul, a record shop in Wuppertal town in Germany. After the first sessions spinning records with the local DJ crew, Miss Dee moved to Cologne at the end of 1997. Soon she made her first contacts within the Cologne drum 'n' bass scene and got some DJing jobs as support at the local parties and at the 'Drumkit' night at Kitclub, Cologne. It was during this time that the idea was born to start 'Tatort' (means: scene of crime), a new monthly drum 'n' bass session together with her DJ mate Walter B 38. In the beginning, Tatort should be a platform for German drum 'n' bass artists to show drum 'n' bass in all its varying forms and to push the German scene. Today, the Tatort events stands for a lot of international acts like Danny Breaks, Matrix, Jenna G, Marcus Intalex, Randall and Doc Scott. Through the regular contacts with other d 'n' b crews in Germany, Miss Dee and 'Tatort' grew in popularity and Dee played as a participant of the Red Bull Music Academy 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa alongside London Elektricity. In 2001 she made her first steps into producing and released a 12" together with Miguel Ayala from the Precision crew from Frankfurt on his record label Socio and since January 2003 Miss Dee is also part of the Tronik 100 crew which are well known for some of their releases on Renegade Recordings (London, UK).
