If Giorgio Moroder, The Fugs, and Ariel Pink all got together in the same room and jammed for a bit, you might come close to the sound of Amsterdam’s Palmbomen. After getting featured by Parisian hipster collective Kitsuné, releasing an EP on NON Records and doing an exclusive mix for VICE Magazine, Palmbomen seems ready to do some big things in his idiosyncratic style: combining 60s psychedelic pop with Italo disco basslines and a profound penchant for the peculiar. Live in the mix at Teatro Kapital during the Academy 2011 in Madrid.
