Releasing their first label album on Throbbing Gristle’s Industrial Records set the tone for the direction Sheffield’s Clock DVA would take over the course of the 80s. Pioneers in the EBM and industrial genres, the duo of Adi Newton and Judd Turner combined treated tape loops and synthesizers to concoct musique concrete within a rock context, subsequently allowing the group to be widely recognized as forerunners in the then still infant electronic music scene. At 2011's Academy Clock DVA performed one of their very rare live shows at Matadero Madrid.
