Mario Willms spends joy-filled days romping through the sunny town of Jena, Germany, putting the polish on his trademark 'melancholy-emo-techno' as Douglas Greed or sporting rump-shaking drum 'n' bass under his Real moniker. When not studying fine art at Bauhaus Weimar, he's making music or playing live combining audio and self-made video loops, getting his C-3PO on, talking to the machines thru midi. He's been the man handing out door passes and ill-advised snifters of cognac at his own parties since 1996, and his name can be found spinning around on the inside sticker of a release on Freude Am Tanzen Records. The stanzas of his poignant dancefloor poetry are made up of snippets of Warp, AFX, Bristol, Marcus Intalex, UR, DJ Premier, Photek, Anticon and Radiohead.
