Ture Sjoberg's, aka Beatfanatic, aka Beatconductor, musical career began as a guitarist for a rock band during the '80s, but an encounter with hip hop and house music later on that decade, forced him to change musical direction. He discovered that behind all those great hip hop records there was an ocean of great soul, funk and disco tracks waiting to be discovered. That's when the madness began. While studying at university, Beatfanatic put his musical energies into DJing and record collecting and soon began making re-edits of disco tracks. He started to do a house mix of a track that was to become 'Jogando Capoeira', a famous track on the Swedish Raw Fusion label. After releasing another 12" and his debut album 'Adventures In The World Of No Fi Beats' on Raw Fusion, Beatfanatic set up his own label, Soundscape, while continuing to work with Raw Fusion pioneer Mad Mats on the Gamm label. Soundscape records provided Beatfanatic's album number two 'The Gospel According To' in 2005, and a home for artists like Stockholm Cyclo and Neon Heights. The fresh Beatfanatic album, 'Around The World in 80 Beats' featuring keyboard player Roman Andren and Kokolo's horn section is all set for a Soundscape release this spring, while flowers blossom.
