In the words of Dazed & Confused magazine, "something is raising its neon head in Russia". Producer, promoter and DJ Dmitri Ustinov alias Taras3000 runs two Moscow club nights, Lies And Jealousy and Odyssey (previously Opa!Opa! and Thriller Acid Allnighter), which have been described as a playground of debauchery, with guests like new world beat sensation Diplo, French electro house king Mr. Oizo or Headman. He calls his sound "a really sick disco brew of everything", and to create it, he doesn’t touch a laptop. His live show consists of a band (vocals, guitar, keys, sax and clarinet) with an RS7000 sequencer, sampler, effects and synthesizer for those all-important chords, stabs and washes. His DJ sets are a different beast all together, deeply drenched in house history. Here Taras3000 is joined by fellow Moscovite Lipelis, a remixer and producer who has already reworked Dutch Rhythm Combo, amongst others. This special back to back set was recorded live at MIGZ Festival 2011 in Moscow.
