Marc von Siebenthal, aka Zukie 173, is a member of Swiss DJ collective and record label A Few Among Others. When his mama put the jazz wax on her Braun turntable back in the day, little Zukie would listen carefully and, probably a decade later, would become a passionate collector of vinyl. Starting out with old school hip hop, he also dug deep into all things funk, jazz and Brazil. He eventually bought a mixer and two turntables, and later on developed an interest in all kinds of futuristic sounds and obscure synth disco. His DJ sets at his homebase Wasserwerk Club in Berne reflect these roots as well as his love for modern styles such as deep house, Detroit techno soul and broken beats.
