With their counterfeits glancing from the infamous 'Midnight Marauders' cover sleeve and the soundtrack to Billie Hoyle failing epically in 'White Men Can't Jump' in their bag, this New York rap duo can be considered nothing short of legendary. Since his early days as a producer and rapper of Main Source, Large Professor has not only fostered young Nas and taught Premo how to work the machines. He also created a blueprint for laid back yet heavy-hitting MPC instrumentals that shaped the mid-90's hip hop aesthetics like no other. Extra P's productions can be heard on classic albums such as 'Illmatic', Kool G. Rap & DJ Polo's 'Wanted: Dead Or Alive', ATCQ's 'Midnight Marauders', and many more. Veteran MC Neek The Exotic first appeared prominently on Main Source's 'Fakin' The Funk', followed by several collaborations with Masta Ace, Lord Finesse or, more recently, Joell Ortiz and Marco Polo. His debut solo LP 'The Exotic's Raw' saw the light of day in 2003 and prepared the ground for his full-length joint ventures with the mad scientist. Listen to their live set from Lincoln Park Music Festival in New Jersey.
