Dieter Moebius and Asmus Tietchens are two pioneers of electronic music, still true to the adventurous spirit that has marked their work since day one. Moebius co-founded Kluster with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Conrad Schnitzler in 1969, later renamed Cluster, without Schnitzler. Cluster was one of the definitive acts of the Krautrock era, with the notable offshoot Harmonia including Michael Rother of Neu! going on to work with Brian Eno. Tietchens developed a love for musique concrete in childhood, beginning to work with tape loops sound experiments and getting his hands on synthesizers as early as the mid-sixties. Through the decades, he has worked with artists from Tangerine Dream to Merzbow, forever exploring the inner life of any sound he can get his hands on. This set was recorded at Dockville Festival, Hamburg, with Moebius and Tietchens taking some time off from working on their first joint album.
