As a DJ, producer and co-founder of Hamburg's infamous Dial label, Carsten Jost has left an indelible mark on deeper dancefloors the world over. Born and raised in Hamburg, it was there that he founded the label together with Lawrence and Pawel, creating a homebase for his artful excursions through house and techno, with the near mythical city of Detroit shining as a guiding light over his endeavors. His album 'You Don't Need A Weatherman To Know Which Way The Wind Blows' took his elegantly minimalist approach to present a picture of the producer as a politically charged auteur, well in line with his engagement in left wing activism in Hamburg. He also went beyond the music, with a video documentary on anti capitalist demonstrations in Genoa, Gothenburg and Prague while gaining growing reputation as a visual artist under his given name David Lieske. Moving from Hamburg to Berlin to Tel Aviv and back to Berlin, he has evolved as an artist at his own pace, while taking his awe instilling DJ sets to the finest clubs around. This set was recorded at Nachtdigital 2011.
