Swayzak - apparently meaning "union" in Polish - was born in 1996. London, England was the place, where James Taylor and David Brown, friends and former work colleagues, made music together for years. The surprising lack of interest from other labels forced the boys to form their own self-titled record label. Their first releases in 1997 like 'Bueno / Fukumachi' and especially 'Speedboat / Low Res Skyline' soon raised the awareness of the compulsive trainspotters, resulting in the deep and minimal must have longplayer 'Snowboarding In Argentina' for Pagan. Since then Swayzak have never looked back and still enjoy making music as a pleasant and rewarding alternative to working. Having released five artist albums, two DJ compilations and several other projects (still waiting to be paid for some of them), Swayzak never shy away from creating new music like their recent album 'Some Other Country' or the laid back retrospection 'Route De La Sack', a double CD of remixes and rarities. Apart form that, Taylor runs his own label 240 Volts, records solo as Darkfarmer or under his passport name, whereas Brown spends the weekends playing live and taking care of his own venture Voltmusik. Swayzak are certainly never slack - even without a day job. This set was recorded live at SPOT in Poznan, Poland.
