A French duo with a deep love for the soulful and strange, Discodeine has spread their bizarre dancefloor message to a ravenously growing global fan base since 2007. Born from the minds of French producers, Pilooski and Pentile, the tandem has amassed a slew of cult followers with their science fiction influenced disco music. As one half of the team, Pilooski became notorious for his remixes of LCD Soundsystem, The Mystery Jets, and the infamous Frankie Valli. In addition, he has also created groundbreaking re-edit versions of krautrock, yacht-rock, and French-psych gems through his Dirty Edits EPs. Partner in crime, Pentile, has been involved through the years with Octet and France Copland, though now focuses alongside Pilooski on Discodeine’s intricate dance productions. Listen here to the duo performing live at Point FMR in Paris for their bacchanal self-titled album release party, featuring none other than a certain Jarvis Cocker. What a night!
