Quiet Village: Two magical words and a bunch of sorcerous records. Joel Martin and Matt Edwards are behind that project and they appear to be the King Midas in the record geek word. Their first 12"s for the mysterious and exclusive Whatever We Want Record label sold out faster than ice cream in the Western Sahara and we don't have to stress the fact that you need a mortgage to buy them on the second hand market. Fundamentally different to Matt Edwards' other works under the name of Radio Slave or Rekid, Quiet Village fabricates mellow and mesmerizing soundtracks for films yet to be made, especially on their soon to be released longplayer. Meanwhile, you can listen to their remixes for Allez Allez, Grandad Bob or The Osmonds and you'll see that they can apply their skills on other people, too. Check out this mix of familiar and obscure tunes between the Euryhthmics and unknown Turkish boogie. Whatever you want.
