Creators of minimalist rock and post-punk shoegaze, Autolux consist of LA trio Eugene, Carla, and Greg, who met back in 2000, united over influences such as Can and Sonic Youth. Their first album 'Future Perfect' came about after four years grafting, and was produced by Coen Brothers' soundtrack producer T-Bone Burnett. Opening their debut is the phenomenal 'Turnstile Blues' featuring Carla's distinctive pounding drum beat and Eugene's aching distorted bass and docile vocals, capturing a dystopia not unlike the ominous openings of Coen Brothers films. After touring with Nine Inch Nails and The Secret Machines, amongst others, Autolux embarked on their next record 'Transit Transit', a space-charged electronic record released in 2010 by TBD and ATP Records worldwide. No matter how much suspense they muster between releasing records, they can be sure to maintain a cult following, as Autolux continue to be an underground band not to be messed with.
