While 2007 was the year that Lynx really left his mark on the music scene with tracks like 'Global Enemies' and 'Carnivale' on Soul:r, by that time he had already released some remarkable records. Starting out in Southampton, he had his first track released aged seventeen in 1996 with original hardcore heads Ramos, Supreme and Sunset Regime. He went on to learn the tools of the trade, getting an audio degree and working in commercial facilities while honing his very own sound. By the start of the next millenium he was producing techno tinted drum'n'bass that got him the notice of everyone from Ed Rush & Optical to John Peel and some serious success in France when he dropped 'Time-Out' with French DJ Flow on Renegade in 2002. From there on he has opened up the drum'n'bass template to include influences from reggae to funk and electro, to create a sound that is obsessed with finely tuned details without losing sight of the groove. Following his debut album with Kemo, he started his aptly named own label Detail Recordings in 2010, and continues to play DJ sets that effortlessly combine the soulful and futuristic, just check this set recorded live at Fabric, featuring a legend in his own right, Stamina MC.
