Yabba Dabba Doo! Yes we're very honoured indeed to have a Fireside Chat with none other than Mr Don Blackman. From growing up in the Jamaica neighbourhood of Queens in New York in the sixties, counting McCoy Tyner as a family friend, to playing with Charles McPherson when he was still just a teenager, Don has certainly lived the life. Hanging out and playing with Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire and Roy Ayers, being a key player in the Jamaica state jazz funk scene of the late 70s, early 80s alongside Marcus Miller, Weldon Irvine, Tom Browne, Lenny White, Bernard Wright et al... and we haven't even mentioned Don's classic self-titled album from 1982, pride and joy of any true vinyl collector. It's time to make that Deaf Hook-Up Connection, and you know that.
