Some girls go rapping, such as the Chilean Anita Tijoux, the Spanish Mala Rodriguez and the Mexican Jezzy P. while Colombian Lido Pimienta sings with the LOKA project recorded on Ninja Tune. The guys, they rather show their macho side on a tribute to the great Ranchero (regional Mexican music) singer Jose Alfredo Jimenez. There is a click-glitch cover by Bruno Galindo and crude rendition by the black-hatted Liber Teran. Apart from rap and rancheras, this PanameriKa has great tunes coming from the main city in Northern Mexico: Nina and She's a Tease are strong representatives on the Indie rock side, while Toy Selectah, shows off his raver-ton musical intentions to become the godfather of the Nueva Cumbia.
