With their offbeat, jazzy, prank-ridden minimal house tracks, dOP are one of the freshest groups to come out of Paris in the last couple of years. Together with their mates Noze they have been creating a wonky, vodka-drenched vision for house music that relies heavily on real instruments, strong melodies and out of control live shows. 'Most of the French promoters don't let us play. They like our records, but they're scared about our live set' they say, but open minded audiences have nothing to fear (but fear itself): Their irreverent love for music is quite contagious and everyone knows that keeping a straight face and dancing don't mix that well. Especially not at a festival as sunny as Melt! 2010.
