Jose Gonzalez is as serious, gentle and considered as his finger picking acoustic sound. Born in Sweden to Argentinean parentage, he learnt how to play classical guitar in his teens and then spent some time jumping from punk band to hardcore band, yet all the while sitting at home writing low-voiced pieces on his guitar. He officially launched his solo career with the release of 2003's 'Veneer', though it was single 'Heartbeats' that spread his popularity throughout Europe, a cover of The Knife's song of the same name. Four years after his debut long-player Jose released 'In Our Nature' into the world, another collection of beautiful melodies that gathered him yet more fans of his quiet and stark but strikingly haunting songs. He gives us his considered and modest views on his music, his influences and the use of symbolism in his music in his Fireside Chat.
