It's all about constant ch-ch-ch-ch-changes in camp Liars, from LA to New York, from Berlin back to LA they have redifened everything about their approach to music for every record they've released since 2002's 'They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top'. Starting out with hard edged, funky art school punk (no doubt inspired by living in NYC), they went on to create everything from 30 minute sound collages called 'This Dust That Makes The Mud' to their self titled record, Liars, that found them rediscovering the power of the simple riff. And although they like to think listening to it is a bit like hearing The Ramones for the first time, the last time we checked the Ramones weren't powered by twistedly rhythmic drumming. Considering their constant search for new inspirations, it'll be exciting to see what the next stop is for Liars. But no mater if they'll all move to Mongolia or start looking for the perfect pop song, the results will be something entirely their own.
