From a region with an infernal temperature, Tijuana, a heatwave moves throughout all PanameriKa to shake, tan and sweat those torsos. Holy god! - this show shines sunbeams that could melt some saints! There's Maria y Joses droney groove from Baja; Antibalas does its signature afrobeat mixed with some Santeria witchcraft, while the Easy Star All Stars re-dub the Beatles. And Spain's Triangulo de Amor Bizarro will blaze with their hazy shoegaze. Also, we're a month before the World Cup in South Africa, so we prepared some football-referring tunes, so to be in on the goal-wave: There's the anthem by Shakira, an apology on constantly watching matches by the Iberian musician Melendi and a counter-apology from the female side of the story by Gelu: A woman possibly cheated on by her husband, shielded on excuses about watching futbol. Quema mucho el sol, en PanameriKa! (Artwork taken from poster for a gig with Maria y Jose, Los Macuanos & Error.Error at Leyva's Disco.)
