When Swedish-Vietnamese composer Scout Klas was 15, she discovered she could record her experiments with un-tuned guitar and synthesizer on her mp3 player. Her lilting lo-fi compositions earned her a minor cult following on Myspace, but she turned down the performance offers that came her way in order to spend more time investigating all sorts of jagged, bubbling, synthetic music. A year spent living in Paris, a desire to study psychology and a love for classic Italian and French films all inform the turgid, collaged musique concrete which she now inhabits with heart and soul.
