Though he lives in the megalopolis that is Sao Paulo, Gabriel's meandering acoustic compositions smell more like the breeze blowing along a forgotten beach on Cardoso Island. Armed with a nylon-stringed classical guitar, he takes the spirit of classic Brazilian songwriters like Jobim, Gilberto and Veloso and adds his own gentle note of discord. Recently studying perception and harmony under Ricardo Breim, as well as dabbling in piano with Angela Volcov, this International Relations graduate wants to show the world how to swing on the second beat.
