DJ Sappo has been mixing since the tender age of 15. With early releases on some of the UK's most respected labels such as Flex and Intalex, Sappo's influences range from hip hop and Detroit techno to US garage and back again. This was all during the exciting and formative years of UK drum 'n' bass, friends and lighters were plenty! In 1998 Sappo set up Advisory Records and released on major brands such as World Dance, Frontline, Intalex Formation, Flex, Rinse Out, Reformed, Global Thang, Reformed, Emotif , V Recordings, and on all the others existing and non-existing labels in the world of fast drums and deep bass lines. He's no stranger to radio, having hosted a regular weekly on BBC 1XTRA, so catch him in rinsing mode here.
