A founding member of chart-topping south-west London quintet Hot Chip, and one of their two main songwriters, Joe Goddard has been singing shiny wedding songs for his two good ol' friends dance and pop music for more than ten years now. Goddard and company easily stand out from the 20 million indietronic combos currently blaring out of hipster iPhones from Shoreditch to Iowa: fusing quirky-yet-catchy melodies with an impeccable sense for dancefloor euphoria, while nonchalantly embracing influences from Prince to 2-step garage, and icing everything with a chunky layer of cheeky romanticism. When not recording or touring with the band, Goddard keeps himself busy as a genre-defying DJ, much sought-after remixer, and co-owner of the Greco-Roman imprint, which provides a platform for artists like Drums Of Death, Buraka Som Sistema and other rave animals (himself included) to spring out of the infamous London shindig of the same name. One of the defining figures of his generation and a true music lover as well, this Joe is definitely not your average one.
