Kaleidoscope: from the Greek 'kalios' (beautiful) + 'eidos' form + English -'scope'. The word 'ziguala' is a term of endearment in Greek, but the euphemism itself, evokes alluring landscapes from hidden virgin Mexican seashores such as Maruata or Zipolite. Actually, Brooklyn's third album - Ziguala - pretends to have been written in Veracruz in 1962, in a parallel universe where Rock'n Roll never colonized the world, and bolero became pandemic. Such is the setting for this uncanny and mysterious selection, lush with Spanish, Mexican, Peruvian, Colombian and Argentinian crystal shards that together, form a romantic kaleidoscope that'll take you and your couple into warm and torrid dreams.
