One of the first international artists to really make a name for himself in the dubstep scene, Tes La Rok has been a mainstay of Helsinki's underground bass culture since the late nineties. In fact he's been international from day one, though, releasing his first record on British d'n'b outlet Audio Couture in '98, back then with Dharma1 as his partner in crime and sailing under the 'Dice' flag. From there, he has moved ever deeper into the subs, creating sparse, dubbed out soundscapes that fuse the history of bass music with a decidedly futuristic outlook.
