Mr. Pittman's name appeared to a wider audience for the first time in 1999. Essential Selections Vol. 1 name checked him as co-producer on Theo Parrish's decisive Sound Signature imprint and as one to watch. Since then, Marcellus Pittman showed his talent as the paradoxical fourth member of the Three Chairs (Rick Wilhite, Kenny Dixon Jr. and Theo Parrish), for Omar-S' FXHE Records with brilliant solo releases and finally on his own Unirhythm outfit. Rooted in the Motor City's tradition of downbeat house and uptempo soul music, the man plays all across the board, sounding like Ken Collier and Mojo meeting up - not in an elevator - but behind the turntables. To paraphrase one of Pittman's most expressive moments: "Come See" for yourself. Only real right vinyl used for this!
