The Soul Jazz Sound System is the DJ arm of Soul Jazz Records. Soul Jazz Records started twenty years ago and is now a record company, book publisher, retail store (Sounds Of The Universe) and sound system operator. The musical output is an indefinable mixture of reggae, punk, latin, disco, dubstep, Brazilian, jungle and more. Recent artists recording on the label include Digital Mystikz, Matias Aguayo, Subway, Tetine, Kalbata and the legendary ESG. The DJ arm of the label has been going nearly as long as the label itself: as well as a steady stream of club nights over the years - 100% Dynamite (currently celebrating its ten years anniversary), 1977, Nu Yorica, Acid and Saturday Night Fish Fry - the Soul Jazz Sound System regularly travels the world with residencies in London, Paris, Edinburgh and recent tours of Australia, Spain, France and more.
