The all-singing, all-dancing Mr Pants made major ripples with his electric Welcome album, underscored by his wild psyche/boogie/rock shows with back up outfit the Royal Zodiac. An eclectic DJ, prolific producer and don of drums, keys or guitar, he recently released an LP of parallel dimension soundtracks and another of cult-inspired new wave disco (Seven Seals). Building on the cornerstones of hip hop, in his hometown of Spokane USA, James cares more about spontaneous funk than formulaic junk. Who the pants fit, let 'em wear them.
