Ever since releasing the self-titled Lusine debut on Isophlux at the tail end of the nineties, Jeff McIlwain has perfected a strain of electronic music that is as abstract as it is warmly welcoming. After tracks, albums and remixes on labels like Mute, Kompakt, Shitkatapult and Hymen, his 2009 return to Ghostly International, 'Language Barrier', focused on the welcoming aspects of his music like no release before - at times, and especially when he makes use of vocals (as he's increasingly done in recent years), he gets downright poppy. This set sees him take his music to the Detroit Electronic Music Festival 2009, right around the time he released 'A Certain Distance'. Prepare for some ghostly movement.
