Ten years after participating in the second Red Bull Music Academy in Berlin, Phil Darimont aka Philarmonix has launched his own record label called Room With A View. Adding to Hamburg, Germany's rich tradition of electronic music imprints such as Dial, Smallville and Pokerflat, Room With A View is best described as Darimont's "personal musical fantasy" - a fantasy deeply rooted in his early DJ days when house and techno were colliding in a big musical patchwork of sounds, sweat and dust. The inspiration of Room With A View can be traced through one and a half decades of DJing around the globe, and echoes many of Darimont's personal musical milestones: from Detroit's synthetic melancholy to London's versatility, from the first era of Berlin techno to the ashes of Mother Disco in Montreal. Aiming for timeless club music with a futuristic flair, while breaking the pattern of functionality that club music too often slips into these days, Room With A View will release tracks and remixes by Phil himself under his Dairmount moniker, as well as the likes of Honesty, Sygaire, Arto Mwambe, Russ Gabriel, Jimpster, Atjazz and Art Bleek.
