Having been largely responsible for the Bristol dubstep scene a few years back, with his Context and Subloaded nights, Rob Ellis, aka Pinch, is fast becoming a legend. As DJ, producer, label owner and promotor, he has carved a niche within the movement to rival no other. Pinch runs Tectonic (his aforementioned label), alongside Earwax and looks after Kapsize and Caravan on behalf of artists Joker and October. His first solo release was let loose on the masses in 2006 ('Qawwall') and his discography following that is as massive as a London phonebook, so we can only guess how he must feel. Catch his set at the Deadly Rhythm party at London hot spot Plan B - a king Pinch indeed!
