Japanese-British duo Comanechi consists of the super sulty singer and drummer Akiko Matsuura and guitarist Simon Petrovich, who plays shit rattle 'n' roll like Bikini Kill's reanimated corpse, from behind his low slung fringe of hair. Their album 'Crime Of Love' is a heavy grunge piece that encourages unsafe sex and is totally DIY, having recorded most of it with their friends in basements and studio downtime. They've played with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip and Siouxsie Sioux and Klaxons are about to support them on tour. None other than The Gossip's Beth Ditto recently said "Comanechi are the reason I'm going to start killing people in 2010", not a quote many bands can aspire to. In fact not many bands can aspire to the kind of enthused, energetic, uncompromising and downright teeth shattering beauty that this post punk outfit present. Prepare yourself for some serious fun...
