Having completed tours opening for Orbital and Bloc Party before they even finished their first album they returned to report that "Orbital do one thing and Bloc Party do a different thing and we're kind of between the two." Which does a nice job of avoiding the inevitable New Order comparisons you will get as an indie/electronic crossover act from Manchester. Seeing that, beyond these comparisons, their first single was produced by Ewan Pearson and their second single was released on Kitsune it's obvious that they're hard to pin down. Instead they're brewing up an eclectic mix of styles and influences that never loses touch with their love for classic pop hooks and crafty songwriting. Along the way they played every major British festival, got nominated for three UK Music Video awards, and received praise from just about anyone crossing their paths. We caught up with them just weeks before the release of their debut album, to bring you, dear listener, their Headphone Highlights.
