A truly multinational, multi-faced, multi-talented act based in Berlin, Jahcoozi is an alliance of beatmeister Robot Koch from Germany, Israeli bass player and sound genius Oren Gerlitz and the song writer and all around performer Sasha Perera from London via Sri Lanka. Getting their first props from none other than the late great John Peel, they have been going about their peculiar ways ever since 2003, combining jittery beats with warm sub basses, infusing Berlin electronica with offbeat warmth and punch, and generally disrespecting genre boundaries wherever they find them. Combing their love of musical adventure with a staggering live show they have toured the world playing everywhere from celebrated festivals to weird raves in the backwaters of Transsylvania. Clearly based in the tradition of electronic music they are less interested in getting on stage just to play their songs, opting instead to do what it takes to hat up the dancefloors, taking their own songs through the mangler, throwing the odd remix in there and good times are had by all. Now signed to the mighty BPitch Control empire, they'll beam their party straight to your ears via this set from Elevate Festival in Graz, Austria.
