You might well be a fan of Carlos Nino and not actually know it. His work with (amongst others) Build an Ark, AmmonContact, Hu Vibrational and Whats The Science spans (amongst others) from the hip hop aesthetic to acoustic folk, modern classical and minimal ambient genres. Certainly no stranger to radio, he has been working with Spaceways Radio, KPFK 90.7FM in Los Angeles for the last fourteen years, where he is just as likely to play some classical music as The Long Lost, or Mulatu Astatke. The release of Build An Ark's most recent album Love Part 1 on Amsterdam's Kindred Spirits label, has garnered praise, as usual, from all angles, the inspiration for which provides half of his Headphone Highlights and the other half is a compilation of some of the other projects that he has worked on and is so proud of.
