Hosting Japans very own RBMA show, Shibuya FM is named after one of the world's busiest urban zones, and it doesn't let its name sake down. Covering the multitude of music styles that prevail through Tokyo, on any one day you can hear jazzy eclecticism from original Tokyo pioneers like Toshio Matsuura, Raphael Sebagg, future beats from the Jazzy Sport crew, reggae 45s from Shibu Ragga, deep disco and house music from Lowrider, Flower Records, and Tokyo Clubmix, while the World Famous show covers all the bases, and the downtown b-boys tune into Warp On The Table and MasterMix. The weekly RBMA session sees the freshest local talent rubbing shoulders in the studio with international guests. Special guests this time around are Hotel New Tokyo, a band that started out as a solo project for Tadahiro Imatani in 2003. His first solo record 'Gaud's Blues' already showed off his many interests, ranging from indie rock to electronic music but also taking cues from modern design and fashion along the way. Things started to get going for real with their second album, the first to feature a full band lineup, in 2009, just before they visited to bring an hour of exciting music to RBMA Radio.
